The process starts with the creation of the center using a special glass called OPALINE, which is factory produced. The glass is made into rods of different sizes which are directly related to the size of the pearl desired. The pearl begins with the center which have two important characteristics: 1. A special melting temperature and 2. A special adhesion that will guarantee the correct fixation of the different covers of color.
The glass is melted by hand by special artisans using fire. A drop of liquid glass trickles down on a rotating metal thread. With that rotation the crystal becomes a perfect round bead. After cooling the metal thread is removed and the bead is formed. It is then checked for quality.
The next step is coating the bead with a special enamel produced in the factory. That will be the final touch to the pearl. This process will give the color, luminosity and shine. The pearl is coated a certain number of times imatating the process of nature. Again the pearls are checked one by one to guarantee the perfect look and quality. The necklace is then strung by hand, with knotting after each pearl.
